I posted these pics way back in 2004 (well...I am pretty sure it was 2K4). I find that people still hit up these pictures off of my site every year around this time, so I thought I'd elaborate a little bit on them.
Every year I do up the front yard with dead bodies and scenes of accident related horror. That year I decided to put out one of my arcade machines with Vampire Saviour along with a junky Neo Geo conversion cabinet I picked up for spare parts. Well. You can pretty much see what I did here:
The highlight...or downer depending on who you are...came when three boys approached the house. They ignored all of the carefully placed severed heads and corpses and went straight to the Vampire Saviour machine.
Chubby boy: What is this? It looks cool!
Skinny boy: I dunno. There's a wolf and a mummy.
Runt boy: Hey! Look. Another one. Oh! Some guy got squished.
Chubby boy: Does it work?
Runt boy: I don't think so. Hey. What's...Neeeeeyo GEEeeeeeyo? Is that on X-Box?
Skinny boy: I don't know. It looks old. I've never heard of it.
Chubby boy: Me neither. How do you even play this monster game? This is stupid. Let's go.
I don't put arcade machines out anymore.
